In an effort to prepare civil servants (PNS) who are approaching retirement, the Berau Regency Human Resources and Personnel Agency (BKPSDM) collaborated with Maximum Life Group to hold a Retirement Preparation Period (MPP) Training for Senior Leadership and Administrator Positions. This event took place on October 22-23 at El Hotel, Jogjakarta.
Why MPP Training Is Important ?
Retirement is one of the important phases in the life of a civil servant. Thorough preparation will affect the quality of life after retirement. This MPP training aims to help participants understand the challenges and opportunities they will face in the future. With increasing life expectancy, many civil servants feel the need to remain productive and involved in useful activities after retirement. This training will provide the necessary provisions to make a smooth transition from active working life to a meaningful retirement.

- Post-Retirement Mental and Physical Health: Maintaining mental and physical health is essential as you enter retirement. This session will discuss ways to maintain health and well-being, including the importance of physical activity, healthy eating, and stress management.
- Business Skills Development: Participants will gain insight into how to start a business, explore business opportunities, and effective marketing techniques.
- Participants will attend indoor sessions that present training materials by experts from Maximum Life Group. Topics to be discussed include:
- Business Consultation Session
- In this consultation session, participants will have the opportunity to discuss with experts about their business plans. This session is designed to help participants formulate business ideas that can be run after retirement.
- This discussion will also include a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis to help participants understand the potential and challenges they may face in starting a business.
- Business Visit
- The training also includes visits to two business locations that provide participants with first-hand insight into real-world business management:
- Longan Plantation: In this visit, participants will learn about longan cultivation techniques, starting from seed selection, plant care, to marketing strategies for plantation products. This activity is expected to inspire participants to enter the world of agriculture after retirement.
- Etawa Sheep Farm: Participants will see firsthand the management of Etawa sheep farms. This visit will discuss important aspects of farming, such as feed management, animal health, and market potential for Etawa sheep which are known for their high quality.
